2.3.Save(S) Save As(A)
“Save” is used for saving the current state of a mark Document to disk.
“Save As” is used for writing the current mark Document to disk by another
name. The file can be saved in either of these two ways.
The save submenu saves the drawing with the current file name, and the
save as submenu saves the drawing with another file name. Both realize the
function of saving files.
If the current Document has already been named, “Save” is selected to
save it under the name that was used for opening the file, or the software will
prompt the user to choose a destination path and type a name. Whether the
current file is named or not, the “Save As” dialog box (Fig. 2-3) will appear to
ask for a new name to save the file, and the previous file will not be
overwritten.
If the current file already has a file name, the Save command saves the
currently drawn drawing with that file name. Otherwise, the save file dialog box
will pop up, asking you to choose the path to save the file and provide the file
name. No matter whether the current file has a file name or not, the save as
command will pop up the Save As dialog box (Figure 2-3), asking you to
provide a new file name for saving to avoid the old file being overwritten.
