Tool Library
You can use the Tool Library to edit or create an engraving tool to your
specifications.
Clearance
Sets the amount of space the tool lifts
between paths.
Finishing Pass A final pass that removes a small amount of material to
smooth the edges from the previous pass.
Tangential
Entry and Exit
Removes
Determines the amount of material
the Finishing Pass removes.
For Tangential Entry, the tool
will begin outside the tool
path and move toward the
tool path in a line or arc. This
allows the tool to gain speed
and make a clean entry on the
tool path.
Tangential Entry, Line
For Tangential Exit, the tool
finishes the job and continues
outside the tool path in a line
or arc. This allows the tool to
power down and make a clean
exit from the tool path.
Tangential Exit, Arc
Line
A straight line of a specified length.
Arc
A curved arc of a specified radius.
Optimize Start
Point
Automatically moves the start point of each path to
reduce the distance from the end point of one path to
the start point of the next.
Tangential entry and exits will be created at the object’s start
point. Disable this option to use the original start point of
the object.
