Connecting the facelift P-METALWISE/45
(MetalWise 65A Plasma Cutter 220V IGBT Plasma Power Unit with CNC Mechanised Torch.)
The main change on the facelift model is the
integrated connector for arc feedback and
control signal.
On this new connector Pin 1 and 2 are used
for the plasma signal. Connections are not
polarity sensitive hence can be connected
anyhow to the PLASMA connection on the
MetalWise Lite CNC Plasma/Flame Cutting unit. Use of solder is recommended for a robust
connection
Pin 3 is +ve arc feedback which is connected to the red/brown cable of the ARC VOLTAGE
cable while Pin 4 -ve arc feedback is connected to the Blue/black cable on the ARC VOLTAGE
cable.
WARNING: Arc voltage is polarity sensitive and care should be taken not to connect in
reverse. Best case scenario the arc insurance fuse will blow, worst case scenario one of
the components on the PCBs will blow leading to costly replacement. If unsure of

The control connector is for the cable to the Torch height actuator. This cable comes with the
connector already mounted.
