EFI ES-2000 Spectrophotometer
This EFI ES-2000 Spectrophotometer Setup Guide describes the EFI ES-2000
Spectrophotometer, a hand-held, color measurement instrument that measures the
reflected spectra of color printer output, textiles, and other colored materials.
You can use the EFI ES-2000 Spectrophotometer with:
Fiery Color Profiler Suite software to create color profiles for color printers or
monitors, as well as read color samples from specific objects when analyzing or
editing profiles.

The Calibrator, Spot-On, and Paper Simulation features of Fiery Command
WorkStation.
Fiery XF (a wide-format solution for proofing and production) for linearization,

Note: The term “EFI ES-2000” is used in this document to refer to the EFI ES-2000
Spectrophotometer.
This document includes specifications and troubleshooting information for the
EFI ES-2000, and includes procedures that allow you to do the following:
Set up the EFI ES-2000 and connect it to your computer
Measure color patches with the EFI ES-2000
EFI ES-2000 and the i1Pro 2 instrument
The EFI ES-2000 is a high-precision instrument manufactured by X-Rite. Its technical
specifications are the same as the X-Rite i1Pro 2 instrument. While both instruments
share many common pieces of software, like the USB driver, they are not identical and
you cannot always use them interchangeably.
About the EFI ES-2000
The EFI ES-2000 communicates with Microsoft Windows-based or Apple Mac OS
computers using a USB port that also provides the power supply for the EFI ES-2000.
