INK CONVERSION TIPS: BEFORE INK CONVERSION
Prior to ink conversion it is important to check the condition of the Hi-Resolution machine. The
following parts on the IDS (Ink Delivery System) of the digital printer have to be checked before
continuing with the conversion process:
1. Check the wiper
• The wiper must be clean and free from any foreign particles and dried ink.
• Perform corrective maintenance if necessary.
• Replace the wiper if it is badly deformed or damaged.
• It would be advisable to keep a few spare wipers as this is an inexpensive item.
2. Check the capping unit
• The capping unit must be clean and free from any foreign particles and dried ink.
• Perform a corrective maintenance if necessary.
• Replace the capping unit if it is badly deformed or damaged.
• Proceed with caution if you are unable to replace this unit.
