Linear Motor and Third-Party Motor

11.3 Complete the settings for linear motors and third-party

motors with ASDA-Soft

Connect the motor to the servo drive first and then start ASDA-Soft. When the New Device

window appears, select the correct Motor Type: “Linear” is for linear motors and “Rotary” is for

rotary motors. If you do not select the correct motor type, a unit error occurs during parameter

setting.

Note: the unit setting for the rotary motor and linear motor can be different for the same parameter.
