Hexes texture produces a hexagonal or "honeycomb" pattern. At its most basic it produces a pattern of beveled hex tiles. Parameters : Position : Position of the texture. Scale : The texture is scaled by this value. Use these parameters to scale or stretch the texture in one or more directions. Radius : This is the basic size of the tile. It is the distance from the center of a tile to the closest point along its edge. Thickness : This is the bevel height of the tiles. Bevel Width : Width of the bevel around the edge of the tiles. Setting the Bevel Width to -1.0 will cause the bevel to be rounded from the edge to the center of the tiles. Jitter : Noise applied to the tiles. Jitter value of 0 will not distort the tiles. Higher values for Jitter distort the tiles more and more. Twist : This parameter represents how "tightly wound" the Jitter is. Higher values here make the Jitter "grittier". Meander : This is a second noise that is applied to the tile pattern. This is designed to push and pull the tile pattern on a larger scale. Used with Meander Size to produce effect. Meander Size : This is the scale of the Meander. Larger values here cause the effect to be applied to the tiles on a larger scale or area. Notes : The Hexes texture is capable of producing several effects. Modifying the Jitter, Twist, Bevel Width, Meander, and Meander Size will produce the range of effects.
