The Dots texture produces an array of raised dots or hemisphere shapes to be added to the relief. These can be produced as a regular array or distorted to produce other effects. Parameters : Position : Position of the texture. Scale : The texture is scaled by this value. Use these parameters to scale or stretch the texture in one or more directions. Spacing : The spacing of the grid that the dots are placed on. Dot Radius : Radius of each dot. Tangent Angle : The tangent angle at the edge of the dot. Tangent angle of 0 will make flat dots, tangent angle of 90 will make hemisphere dots. Jitter : Noise applied to the dots. Jitter value of 0 will not distort the dots. Higher values for Jitter distort the dots more and more. Twist : This parameter represents how "tightly wound" the Jitter is. Higher values here make the Jitter "grittier". Meander : This is a second noise that is applied to the dot matrix. This is designed to push and pull the dot matrix on a larger scale. Used with Meander Size to produce effect. Meander Size : This is the scale of the Meander. Larger values here cause the effect to be applied to the dots on a larger scale or area. Notes : Without Jitter and Meander the effect here is simply raised dots. Use the Jitter, Twist, Meander and Meander Size to produce surpising and unexpected effects.
